Introduction
Shot peening is a mechanical surface treatment widely used in the industry to improve the fatigue properties of components. It appears that the parameters of this process can be adjusted to reach even better fatigue properties and to adapt to new alloys and/or manufacturing techniques. This development was carried out during CONDOR project.
Objectives
The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal shot peening conditions for the beta titanium alloy Ti10V-2Fe-3Al in order to optimize lifetime, taking into account different machining conditions.
